Anna Winiarska MD
Dr. Anna Winiarska has been associated with the scientific and medical life of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the Medical University of Warsaw since her student years. She graduated from the Medical Academy in 1997, and after completing her postgraduate internship in 1998, she joined the Department.
In 1999/2000, she spent thirteen months at the Benjamin Franklin University Dermatology Clinic in Berlin on a scientific research scholarship focused on the project "Activity of nuclear receptor modifiers and cellular cross-talk in the pilosebaceous units." This research was pioneering and published in prestigious scientific journals. As a result of her scientific work, she earned a PhD in medical sciences in 2000 based on her dissertation titled "The influence of agonists and antagonists of nuclear retinoid receptors on the proliferation and angiogenic potential of keratinocytes." She obtained her second-degree specialization in dermatology and venereology in 2007.
She is a member of the Polish Dermatological Society and the European Society for Dermatological Research.
Dr. Anna Winiarska is the author and co-author of numerous Polish and international scientific publications and participates in various research projects. She has received three awards from the Rector of the Medical Academy/WUM, the Editorial Board Award of the Przegląd Dermatologiczny (Dermatological Review), and the Young Forum Award of the Polish Dermatological Society.
Since 1998, she has been conducting classes on dermatology and venereology for students of the First Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Physiotherapy, and the English Division. She is also actively involved in training physicians specializing in dermatology and venereology.
Dr. Winiarska has extensive experience in treating skin lesions, including those located on genital areas. She performs dermatoscopic evaluation of moles, removes common warts, seborrheic warts, fibromas, genital warts, and molluscum contagiosum.
