Anna Zaleska-Żmijewska MD

Dr. habil. Anna Zaleska-Żmijewska graduated from the Medical Academy (First Faculty of Medicine in Warsaw) in 1996. Since 1997, she has been employed at the Department and Clinic of Ophthalmology, Second Faculty of Medicine, Medical Academy in Warsaw, where she also pursued her doctoral studies between 1997 and 2001.

She defended her doctoral thesis in ophthalmology titled "The Use of Mitomycin C in the Surgical Treatment of Glaucoma – Evaluation of the Topical Intraoperative Application of the Drug" in 2004 with distinction. In the same year, she obtained her second-degree specialization in ophthalmology.

Dr. Zaleska-Żmijewska actively participates in the scientific and educational work of the clinic and is heavily involved in research, particularly in the fields of glaucoma and ocular allergies. She is a co-author of numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Additionally, she is a lecturer for courses on the diagnosis of glaucoma and ocular allergies for physicians specializing in ophthalmology and allergology. She also teaches ophthalmology to both Polish and English-speaking students.
