About the Product

The Anti-Glomerular Basement Membrane (anti-GBM) antibody test detects autoantibodies associated with Goodpasture's disease, which affects the kidneys and lungs. The presence of these antibodies may indicate a risk of kidney and lung damage.

When to Perform the Test?

This test is performed when the patient’s clinical presentation suggests systemic vasculitis and/or in cases where symptoms such as pulmonary hemorrhage and impaired kidney function are accompanied by signs of uremia.

Medical Conditions:

Anti-GBM antibodies are tested in the diagnosis of conditions such as glomerulonephritis and Goodpasture syndrome.

Symptoms:

The Anti-GBM antibody test is conducted after observing symptoms such as hemoptysis of varying intensity, shortness of breath, coughing fits, pulmonary hemorrhage, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, general malaise, fatigue, and dysuric symptoms (pain, burning sensation during urination, discomfort in the lower abdomen).
