Anti-neuronal and onco-neuronal antibodies panel
The panel detects antineuronal antibodies, including a specific type known as onconeural antibodies. The test is performed to verify the presence of antibodies specific to the following antigens: HU, RI, YO, CV-2, PNMA2 (MA2/TA), RECOVERIN, AMPHIPHYSIN, SOX-1, TITIN – useful in diagnosing paraneoplastic syndrome (PNS).

When to Perform the Test
The test is recommended in cases of neurological symptoms of unclear origin and for differential diagnosis of these symptoms. Early detection of antineuronal antibodies allows for appropriate therapeutic decisions and complete recovery.
Medical Conditions
Neurological paraneoplastic syndromes (e.g., autoimmune encephalitis), Devic's disease, Guillain-Barré syndrome, stiff-person syndrome.
Symptoms
These conditions may be accompanied by symptoms such as retinopathy, encephalitis, mood changes, increasing irritability, depression, altered consciousness, disorientation, hallucinations, seizures, and chronic weakness.
