HELP WITH MASSIVE BLEEDING
The CAT tourniquet is used in cases of massive hemorrhaging and amputations when a standard bandage does not stop the bleeding. It is a wide, adjustable band made from durable material and fastened with strong Velcro. It is equipped with a plastic windlass that increases pressure to completely stop blood flow after several turns.
FAST APPLICATION
The speed with which a tourniquet can be properly applied is crucial. The CAT Gen. 7 is designed for rapid application. It is applied by threading one end through the buckle and tightening the resulting loop around the limb of the injured person. After initial tightening and fastening the Velcro, check if it's applied tightly—there should be no space for a finger between the tourniquet and the skin. Its design allows it to be applied one-handed to any limb. The improved closure system prevents accidental unfastening.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND DURABLE
Despite its lightweight and small size, the CAT tourniquet is virtually indestructible. It is made of durable materials designed to function even in war conditions. Its adjustable construction means it can be used on any casualty. It is also comfortable—soft padding prevents unnecessary skin abrasions and pulling of hair.
IMPORTANT! Immediately after applying the tourniquet, emergency services should be notified, and they should be informed about its application. Do not remove or loosen the tourniquet once applied!
