CRP-Screen® is a specific, semi-quantitative immunodiagnostic test for detecting CRP protein in blood. The result falls within one of four concentration ranges between 8-100 mg/L, aiding in differentiating the cause of infection (bacterial or viral) and detecting inflammatory conditions.
The CRP-Screen® test should be performed when clinical symptoms suggestive of infection occur, such as low-grade fever, headaches, fever, or general weakness. CRP is a sensitive marker that appears rapidly during illness, making it a valuable diagnostic tool for guiding decisions on antibiotic therapy.
