Diabetology consultation - teleconsultation

Scope:

• Any patient of Invimed Clinics who has already had their first visit with a specialist at Invimed Clinic can use the telemedicine consultation
• During the phone consultation, the specialist will perform all services that can be done remotely. However, during the interview, it may turn out that an in-person visit will be necessary
• The teleconsultation is provided by Diabetologist: Agnieszka Przychodzień

When booking an appointment, the patient is booking a phone consultation, not an in-clinic visit. The clinic addresses displayed in the schedule only indicate the doctor's place of work.
A diabetological phone consultation is a service where the diabetologist provides advice, consultations, and guidance on healthy eating and lifestyle over the phone, issues referrals, and prescriptions.
This is a practical solution for individuals who want to discuss their situation and receive professional support but, for various reasons, are unable to meet the diabetologist in person.
As part of the phone consultation, the doctor:

• conducts an interview,
• makes diagnoses,
• provides advice and medical recommendations,
• prescribes medications,
• may refer for additional tests and consultations
• answers questions regarding the treatment process in relation to the patient's medical history

The diabetologist can also answer questions from the patient about their health, supplementation, and other nutrition-related issues. However, it is important to remember that a diabetological phone consultation has its limitations. In some cases, particularly with serious health conditions, an in-person visit to the diabetologist may be more appropriate and even recommended.
