Msc Edyta Filec

Msc Edyta Filec is a clinical psychologist, therapist, and social skills trainer. She graduated in clinical psychology from the SWPS University in Katowice and also completed postgraduate studies in transport psychology. She gained professional experience, among others, at the Crisis Intervention Center in Katowice, at the Oncology Department of the Katowice Oncology Center, implementing a support and psychological assistance project for senior citizens, people with disabilities, and people with neurodegenerative disorders in collaboration with NZOZ Abimed in Bytom. She also conducted development workshops and psychological counseling as part of her work for the Po Skrzydła Foundation in Sosnowiec.

She also specializes in cognitive function training and social skills training (training for dealing with stress, difficult emotions, and assertiveness training).

The specialist's goal is continuous development, thus she attends numerous trainings, workshops, and undergoes regular supervision of her therapeutic work. Currently, she is in the second year of a 4-year Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy School at the SWPS University, in the process of obtaining certification.

In her practice, she selects methods and tools individually tailored to the client's needs, based on techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Rational Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

It is important for her to respect the individuality, self-determination, and agency of the client, based on their resources, skills, and competencies - all in the spirit of positive psychology and a holistic approach to the client. She places great importance on building a good relationship with the client, based on empathy, trust, a sense of security, and authenticity.
