Elżbieta Bańkowska, MD, PhD, graduated from the Medical Academy of Warsaw. She specialises in gynaecology and obstetrics, as well as endocrinology. In both fields she obtained a second-degree specialisation. As a gynaecologist she deals with pregnancy management. The doctor's special professional interests within gynaecology are related to paediatric gynaecology, which is why she is a member of the paediatric section of FIGO – International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. She is equally interested in endocrine gynaecology and is also a member of the Polish Society of Endocrinology. In connection with paediatric and endocrinological gynaecology, Dr Elżbieta Bańkowska has participated in numerous courses and trainings, improving her competence in the aforementioned field.
