Filip Latawiec, MD

Filip Latawiec, MD, is a specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system, currently undergoing specialisation in sports medicine.

In the 2019/2020 season, he was the 1st team doctor and medical team manager of Al Jazira FC (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates), while during the 2018/2019 season – the doctor of the 1st team of Legia Warszawa and the 1st team of Legia Kosz. Since 2013, he is a licensed Physician of the Polish Football Association, responsible for the Polish National Youth Team.

Doctor Latawiec specialises in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries, as well as degenerative diseases, in particular those involving the knee, ankle and elbow joints and the shoulder girdle. He carries out procedures using both minimally invasive methods (such as arthroscopy) and traditional ones. He is particularly interested in regenerative medicine. Under ultrasound guidance, the Doctor performs injections of hyaluronic acid, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cells. He provides services to patients over 16 years of age.

Since the beginning of his career, the Doctor has been working with athletes and helping patients quickly and safely return to full fitness. He tries to make sure that his patients actively participate in the entire treatment process and have a decisive say throughout it.

Doctor Latawiec graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Warsaw. Simultaneously with completing medical studies, he obtained a master’s degree in psychology – with a special focus on sport psychology.

Privately, he is an enthusiast of sailing in the summer and skiing in the winter. His other passion is motorcycling – the Doctor is a recreational biker, with experience in amateur motorsports.

• Work as a resident under the specialisation in orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system at the 5th Department of Neuro-Orthopaedics at STOCER in Konstancin; medical internship at the Amager Hospital in Copenhagen.
