Laser hair removal - calves, package of 4 treatments

How it works

Laser hair removal is a safe and efficient hair reduction. Laser Nd:YAG affects both dark and light hair in any skin phototype. The laser has the longest wave of 1064 nm, thanks to which it has a destructive effect on the deepest structures that provide nutrients for a hair in a hair follicle. After treatment hairs weaken and fall out after about 2-3 weeks. Laser epilation brings desired effects when it is performed in a series at proper intervals. The treatment should be organised in a series of 3-5 treatments with intervals from six to eight weeks. The treatment is performed with Fotona laser.

Treatment contraindications:

• suntan (1 month)
• light sensitising medication (retinoids, tetracyclins)
• herbs (hypericum, calendula, stop using 2-3 weeks before treatment)
• active skin diseases (e.g. psoriasis, lichen)
• active skin infection (e.g. herpes, impetigo)
• peeling (up to 4 weeks before treatment)
• depilation with the use of wax or tweezers 2 weeks before treatment – of the area that is subject to treatment
• very dry and very sensitive skin
• albinism
• tendency for cicatrices (keloids), hypertrophic scars
• using steroids (creams or tablets)
• using oral retinoids within the last 6 months
• using Accutane within the last 6 months
• blood coagulation disorders, using blood thinners
• epylepsy
• malignant disease
• a pacemaker
• hormonal and endocrynological diseases, such as e.g. polycystic ovary syndrome or diabetes
• viral infections: HIV, viral hepatitis
• active autoimmune diseases (e.g. systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma)
• pregnancy
• breast-feeding
• alcogol consumption (24 hours before treatment)
• excessive expectations towards the effects of the treatment

Preparing for treatment:

The treatment does not require special preparation. The day before you should shave the place you want hair removed from with laser. The place ought to be cleaned and dried prior to treatment. The skin that is to be submitted to the treatment should not be covered with any cosmetics nor personal hygiene cosmetics, that is creams, lotions, deodorants, colour cosmetics and others.
