Gynecologist: first consultation (persons with infertility problems) - consultation at the medical facility
Some couples try for a baby for years. In the event of repeated unsuccessful attempts to conceive, it is worth seeking the advice of a gynecologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The more so that time is of great importance in the case of reproductive medicine, and when efforts for pregnancy are long-lasting, fertility parameters may further decrease, the quality of gametes may drop, and the cause of infertility may aggravate.

First visit - what is its course?
For the first visit, the attending physician will reserve more time. During the first visit, the doctor will ask you, among others, about the date of your last menstruation, cycle regularity and duration, the course of current treatment (you should bring a copy of results of the tests performed so far). Usually the doctor carries out the gynecological and ultrasound examination of the patient. It happens that on their basis, a decision on the choice of treatment method is also made already during the first visit. We invite couples for the visit.
In some cases, the doctor may ask patients to undergo laboratory tests that are necessary to start the treatment process:
· the female patient - determination of hormone levels (including AMH, TSH, FSH, Prolactin, FT3, FT4, E2, Testosterone), blood group, complete blood count, coagulation time, electrolyte level and cytology.
· the male patient - extended semen analysis, specialized semen test.
· both partners - virological tests, i.e. determination of the level of anti-HIV, anti-HCV antibodies, HBS antigen and WR test as well as karyotypetesting.
All laboratory (blood) and semen tests can be performed at the InviMed clinic. There is no need to make an appointment for a blood test, it is sufficient to arrive at the Clinic during the working hours of the blood collection point. Information on the hours when tests can be performed can be obtained by calling: 500 900 888, at the reception of the Clinic or by sending an enquiry to the following address: invimed@invimed.pl.
