Joanna Gawęcka, MD, PhD

Dr Joanna Gawęcka is a graduate of the Medical Academy of Poznań, Faculty of Medicine. After her internship, she worked in the Cardiology and Internal Medicine Department of the Voivodeship Hospital in Poznań, where she obtained the title of specialist in internal medicine. Since 2010, she has been working in the Clinical Intensive Cardiac Care Unit of the H. Święcicki Clinical Hospital in Poznań. She is currently engaged in non-invasive cardiac diagnostics and treatment of most heart diseases. She performs echocardiography, stress tests, Holter-ECG, Holter-RR. Dr Gawęcka qualifies and refers patients for procedures such as coronary angiography and coronary angioplasty, implantation of pacemakers, ICD, CRT, ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, and cardiac surgery. She performs cardiovascular disease risk assessment and cardiac evaluation before surgical procedures. In 2018, she received her doctoral degree in medicine based on the thesis entitled ""Selected Cardiovascular Functions in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome - Outlier"". She has many years of professional experience gained not only in the hospital ward but also in cardiology offices. Dr Gawęcka constantly expands her knowledge by participating in numerous conventions, congresses and courses in cardiology, especially in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. She is a member of the Polish Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.
