Qualification for vaccination against pertussis, pneumococci or shingles
This product is intended for those patients who do not have a Medicover subscription or whose health plan does not include qualifying consultations for vaccinations. This consultation is necessary each time before administering the vaccine. Vaccination takes place immediately after the qualifying visit.
A qualifying visit is necessary to receive any vaccinations, e.g. against pertussis, pneumococcus, tick-borne encephalitis, influenza or shingles.
Qualification is based on a medical examination to assess the patient’s general health and to make sure that there are no contraindications for vaccination. The consultation must take place within 24 of administering the vaccine, usually right before vaccination.
What is the qualification process for preventive vaccination?
During the visit, the doctor takes the patient’s medical history, during which he may ask about the presence of chronic diseases, acute conditions, disturbing symptoms or general well-being. The doctor will also ask about other vaccinations, past vaccination symptoms or disturbing symptoms.
After taking the medical history, the doctor conducts a physical examination.
In the event that the doctor does not qualify for vaccination, the patient must re-make an appointment on the date indicated by the doctor. Another appointment qualifying for vaccination is additionally payable.
Product benefits:
- Ability to confirm that there are no contraindications for the vaccination.
- Ability to receive the vaccination (not included in the price of this product), gaining immunity against infectious diseases.
