Clinical use
Leflunomide - an antirheumatic, immunosuppressive drug. It has antiproliferative and anti-inflammatory effects. The indication for use is mainly rheumatoid arthritis. The drug modifies the course of the disease by reducing symptoms. The test can be performed to establish monitored therapy and when poisoning is suspected. Due to the teratogenic effect of the drug, the determination of metabolitesów of leflunomide should be performed in women and men before planned pregnancy and use effective contraception during drug therapy.
