Medical marijuana therapy is an increasingly popular treatment for many conditions. It can be used to support the treatment of intense and chronic pain (refractory to conventional treatment), as well as for neurological, gastrointestinal, psychiatric, rheumatological diseases, inflammatory skin conditions and palliative care. Medical marijuana can also be used for elderly patients as a therapy to improve their quality of life.
Medical marijuana treatment is complementary and can be introduced when primary therapies are unsuccessful.
The therapy is available to patients over 25 years of age, suffering from ailments listed in the indications for medical cannabis treatment.
