About testing

What is NeoThetis?

NeoThetis is a non-invasive, next-generation genetic test that supports the selection of the most effective therapy for patients diagnosed with malignant tumors. The test takes advantage of one of the scientific breakthroughs in the medical field - the presence of extracellular circulating tumor DNA in the patient's blood. Neothetis analyzes the coding regions and selected non-coding regions of 80 clinically relevant genes to identify genetic changes that are:

  • included in guidelines from global medical oncology societies such as the European Society for Medical Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology or the National Comprehensive Cancer Network;
  • associated with therapies approved by the U.S. or European drug agencies - the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA);
  • used as inclusion criteria for clinical trials;
  • associated with therapy resistance.

The NeoThetis test is completely safe and extremely minimally invasive because, unlike a classic biopsy, it involves drawing blood and does not require a hospital stay. Thanks to the analysis of genetic changes, it makes it possible to start the most effective therapy and allows evaluation of the applied treatment. NeoThetis offers comprehensive genome profiling of the entire tumor - it provides information on primary and secondary tumors, allows identification of mutations in difficult-to-treat and inoperable lesions, guarantees short waiting time for results.

Who should perform the NeoThetis test?

The test is recommended to be performed on any patient with cancer, both at the initial stage of the disease and in case of its progression. It should be performed especially when:

  • the patient's condition or the location of the tumor makes it impossible to perform a biopsy;
  • material from the biopsy performed is unavailable or limited;
  • additional biopsy of the tumor is not clinically indicated;
  • there is a need to select therapy as soon as possible;
  • current oncological treatment is unsuccessful and reselection of therapy is needed.
