Proper balance between the supply of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids is essential to maintain good health, well-being and a youthful appearance. Failure to do so can result in chronic inflammation and contribute to a wide range of ailments.
The OMEGA Test results help to determine the risk of contracting numerous diseases, such as:
- cardiovascular diseases;
- excess weight, obesity and metabolic syndrome;
- certain mental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases;
- autoimmune diseases;
- allergies;
- chronic fatigue.
The OMEGA Test is intended for individuals who:
- have an increased susceptibility to infections;
- frequently experience low mood or, in extreme cases, suffer from depression;
- experience impaired concentration or problems with memory;
- suffer from skin lesions;
- have a high cholesterol level;
- are overweight or obese;
- are at risk of a heart attack or a stroke or suffer from hypertension;
- have fertility problems;
- suffer from type 2 diabetes;
- suffer from any other chronic diseases.
The OMEGA Test involves the analysis of a dried blood spot. During the visit, five drops of blood are taken from a finger of a patient, and then placed on a special transport card. After about four weeks, the patient will be invited to discuss the test results at a consultation with a dietician (the consultation is included in the package).
