Determination of antibodies to enterocytes in IgG, IgA class is useful in the diagnosis of gluten intolerance. It is a genetically determined disease of the small intestine caused by an immune response triggered by gluten in individuals with a genetic predisposition. The antibodies produced cause inflammation of the intestine, which leads to the destruction of the intestinal villi, causing reduced absorption of nutrients. To The classic symptoms of gluten enteropathy include weakness, chronic fatty diarrhea, abdominal bloating, weight loss or muscle atrophy. Children may develop growth disorders, anemia and impaired bone metabolism.
