Test the level of IgM antibodies against enteroviruses in the blood The test is used in the diagnosis of viral diseases caused by by enteroviruses.

Enteroviruses are ubiquitous viruses transmitted between humans humans by direct contact. Among enteroviruses, the following are distinguished among others : polio viruses, Coxackie group A and B viruses, ECHO viruses Enteroviruses are the most common cause of aseptic meningitis cerebrospinal meningitis, they can also cause myelitis spinal cord and encephalitis.

The first virus-specific IgM antibodies appear in the blood as early as 1-3 days after the onset of symptoms and are detected for 2 - 3 months.
