Panel of autoimmune mózguard inflammation (IIF)
Clinical relevance
In the pathogenesis of autoimmune mózguard inflammation, autoantibodies directed against antigens thatóre ion channels, receptors and other synaptic proteins that play an important role in neuronal transmission and mózguard plasticity play a role. These include antibodies against receptors (NMDA, AMPA1, AMPA2, GABA) and VGKC-related proteins (LGI1, CASPR2). Determining the cause of the condition through the detection of antibodies allows the application of appropriate immunomodulatory treatment, whichóre introduced as soon as possible can inhibit the pathophysiological process underlying epilepsy and lead to clinical improvement and even cure of the patient.
