PARASITES - package 2 (protozoa: Dientamoeba fragilis, Blastocystis hominis)

Molecular test (Real-Time PCR) with high sensitivity and specificity, detecting genetic material (DNA) of parasites:

• Dientamoeba fragilis,
• Blastocystis hominis.

Advantages of diagnosis of parasitic diseases by Real-Time PCR:

• high sensitivity (4 copies of DNA in the test sample),
• high specificity (certainty of the species affiliation of the parasite found),
• execution of the test from 3 stool samples,
• short waiting time for the result (5 working days).

Indications for Real-Time PCR testing:

The presence of clinical signs indicating parasitic disease despite negative stool test results (by microscopic observation or immunological methods).

Instructions for sampling are included in the package.

To arrange a pickup time for your shipment by a driver in Warsaw, please contact a BORLAMED employee by email or phone.

A laboratory employee will schedule a visit by our driver at the chosen time.

The material collection is free of charge.

You can also personally deliver the material for testing during the laboratory's working hours (Mon - Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
