Molecular Test (Real-Time PCR) characterized by high sensitivity and specificity, detecting the genetic material (DNA) of the following parasites:

• Human pinworm (Enterobius vermicularis)
• Hookworm (Ancylostoma spp.)
• American hookworm (Necator americanus)

Advantages of diagnosing parasitic diseases using Real-Time PCR:

• High sensitivity (4 copies of DNA in the tested sample)
• High specificity (certainty of species identification of the detected parasite)
• Test performed from 3 stool samples
• Short turnaround time for results (5 working days)

Indications for performing the test using Real-Time PCR:

• Presence of clinical symptoms indicative of a parasitic disease despite negative stool test results (using microscopic observation or immunological methods).

You can also personally deliver the material for testing during the laboratory's working hours (Mon - Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
