PARASITES - Set 2 (Package 3 + Package 4 + Package 5 + Cryptosporidium Parvum)

The set includes 4 test packages:

• Parasites Package 3 - (testing for the presence of species: Tapeworm, Whipworm, Roundworm, Dientamoeba fragilis, Blastocystis hominis, Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica)
• Parasites Package 4 – Flukes (testing for the presence of species: Blood Fluke, Liver Fluke, Opisthorchis viverrini)
• Parasites Package 5 – Nematodes (testing for the presence of species: Human Pinworm, Hookworm/Ancylostoma ceylanicum)
• Parasites - Cryptosporidium parvum

Molecular testing (Real-Time PCR) characterized by high sensitivity and specificity, detecting the genetic material (DNA) of the most commonly found parasites in humans.

Advantages of diagnosing parasitic diseases using the Real-Time PCR method:

• High sensitivity (4 DNA copies in the tested sample),
• High specificity (certainty of the species identification of the detected parasite),
• Test performed from 3 stool samples,
• Short turnaround time for results (5 working days).

Indications for performing the Real-Time PCR test: Presence of clinical symptoms suggesting a parasitic disease despite negative stool test results (using microscopic observation or immunological methods).

Instructions for sampling are included in the package.

To arrange a pickup time for your shipment by a driver in Warsaw, please contact a BORLAMED employee by email or phone.

A laboratory employee will schedule a visit by our driver at the chosen time.

The material collection is free of charge.

You can also personally deliver the material for testing during the laboratory's working hours (Mon - Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).

Schedule a pickup time for your shipment via courier or parcel locker – to do so, please contact a BORLAMED employee by email or phone. The laboratory employee will arrange for a courier or parcel locker and ask you to print the shipping label, which will be sent to your email address.
