Molecular Testing (Real-Time PCR): A highly sensitive and specific method that detects the genetic material (DNA) of the most commonly found human parasites, including:

• Tapeworm (Taenia spp.)
• Whipworm (Trichuris trichiura)
• Human Roundworm (Ascaris lumbricoides)
• Dientamoeba fragilis
• Blastocystis hominis
• Giardia lamblia
• Entamoeba histolytica
• Dwarf Tapeworm (Hymenolepis spp.)

Advantages of diagnosing parasitic diseases using the Real-Time PCR method:

• High sensitivity (detects as few as 4 copies of DNA in the sample)
• High specificity (ensures accurate species identification of the detected parasite)
• Performed using 3 stool samples
• Short waiting time for results (5 business days)

Indications for testing using the Real-Time PCR method:

Presence of clinical symptoms indicative of a parasitic disease despite negative stool test results (using microscopic observation methods or immunological methods).

A laboratory employee will schedule a visit by our driver at the chosen time.

The material collection is free of charge.

You can also personally deliver the material for testing during the laboratory's working hours (Mon - Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
