Penile frenulum undercutting - what is worth knowing?
The frenulum, is a small thin fold of skin that connects the foreskin to the glans of the penis. It is located on the lower surface of the penis. In many cases, the frenulum is removed during a circumcision procedure, which is recommended by urologists in situations where it is too short or tight, which can cause discomfort in sexual life or maintaining hygiene.
What does the procedure look like?
The procedure to undercut the frenulum of the penis is performed under local anesthesia and takes only a dozen minutes. During the procedure, the surgeon undercuts the frenulum, then stitches it in a suitable manner, so that the frenulum of the foreskin lengthens and strengthens. The procedure is quite short and the man can be discharged home after the plasty.
After the procedure
Frenectomy and frenum plication requires several weeks of convalescence, during which a man should refrain from intercourse for about 3-4 weeks.
