The profile includes tests such as:

The core component of the panel is the lipidogram, which is a screening test used to assess the risk of development of atherosclerosis, and thus coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction.
Apolypoprotein B (ApoB) performs the transport function of all low-density lipoproteins, and thus those that promote atherosclerosis (LDL, VLDL, IDL). Its opposite is apolipoprotein A (ApoA), which transports high-density lipoproteins, mainly HDL cholesterol. The ApoB /ApoA ratio - is helpful in assessing the risk of developing cardiovascular disease - the lower the ratio, the lower the risk.
In addition, as part of the Healthy Heart Profile, a test is performed homocysteine concentration, which is used in assessing the risk of atherosclerotic and thrombotic diseases. Homocysteine determination is especially recommended for people with hypertension, kidney failure, overweight, smokers, people with impaired lipid metabolism as well as metabolic syndrome, diabetics, and patients with an unfavorable family history of cardiovascular disease.
Homocysteine determination is also recommended for people with a history of atherosclerosis
CRP test also helps to assess the risk of cardiovascular disease, provided the determination is performed during a period free of infection.
The Healthy Heart Profile includes a number of tests to assess the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
