Pronatal 3G - Chlamydia trachomatis, Ureaplasma sp., Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis, HSV I/II, HPV14 DNA

Clinical purpose

Pronatal 3G panel is used to diagnose the most common causes of bacterial and viral infections of the genitourinary tract. Itós especially recommended for women planning pregnancy and pregnant women. The test involves the detection of genetic material of the bacteria Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma species. In addition, DNA of the human papilloma virus - HPV - is sought. Its presence predisposes to cervical cancer in women, and penile or anal cancer in men. HPV infection is usually asymptomatic. The test detects 14 genotypesów of this virus, including low- and high-oncogenic ones. In addition, HSV I/II virus DNA is sought. HSV type I is responsible for the occurrence of skin herpes, usually on the lips, while type II can cause genital herpes.
