Clinical significance
The test involves the determination of IgG and IgM class antibodies against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis mycobacteria, whichóra most often occupies the lungs, but can also have an extrapulmonary form with involvement of the lymphatic system, pleura, genitourinary system, bones and jointsów. The disease can be asymptomatic or manifest, depending on the localization, with rósundry symptoms, including chest pain, hemoptysis, cough, fever, chills and weight loss.
