Rotadeno-Screen – diarrhea

Rotadeno-Screen® is a specific, rapid immunodiagnostic test for detecting rotavirus and adenovirus antigens in stool using two separate strips within the same cassette. Both rotaviruses and adenoviruses are major causes of gastrointestinal infections (and related syndromes), especially in children.

The Rotadeno-Screen® test should be performed in cases of stomach and intestinal infections, gastrointestinal inflammation, and symptoms such as: acute diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and weakness. Infections caused by rotaviruses and adenoviruses can be severe in young children, many of whom are hospitalized.
