When to Perform the Test
This test should be performed preventively by women who are planning to become pregnant or are currently pregnant, due to the serious consequences of infection in newborns.
It is also recommended to conduct this test preventively for individuals who frequently change sexual partners.
Health Conditions
The test allows for the detection of both early and late-stage syphilis infection.
Symptoms
Symptoms of syphilis infection may include a hard ulcer in the genital area, oral mucosa, or throat, as well as fever, fatigue, headache, joint pain, skin changes, heart valve abnormalities, headaches, balance disorders, vomiting, personality changes, mood disturbances, and even psychosis.
