Surdological therapy is aimed at adults with hearing impairment. The most important thing is to start surdological therapy as soon as hearing impairment is diagnosed. Surdological therapy helps the patient develop language skills and recognise ambient sounds and speech sounds.
Surdological therapy includes:
- enriching passive and active vocabulary,
- compensation of impaired hearing functions,
- breathing exercises,
- articulation exercises,
- voice exercises,
- hearing exercises.
Objectives of surdological therapy:
- teaching patients with hearing impairments to communicate freely with others,
- developing speech in phonetic, lexical and grammatical terms,
- eliminating behaviours interfering with communication and ensuring comprehensive and integrated psychomotor development,
- improving clarity of expression.

During the telephone consultation, the specialist will perform all services that can be performed remotely. However, the patient’s medical history may reveal the need for an in-person visit at the centre in order to make the final diagnosis and choose the treatment.
