Thin-Layer Cytology LBC + HPV28 (Genotyping of 28 High- and Low-Risk HPV Types)

Test Package:

The package consists of:

• Thin-Layer Cytology LBC (Liquid Based Cytology), a more modern and accurate technique for cytological examination.
• HPV28 – Identification of 28 genotypes of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV).

Simultaneous detection and genotyping of 28 different high- and low-risk HPV genotypes associated with the development of cervical cancer.

The HPV genotypes tested include:

• 19 high-risk types: 16, 18, 26, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68, 69, 73, 82.
• 9 low-risk types: 6, 11, 40, 42, 43, 44, 54, 61, 70.

Purpose of the Test:

Identification of cancerous cells among the epithelial cells of the cervical canal and ectocervix, as well as the detection of HPV genetic material in the patient's body and determination of the genotype of the identified virus.

Method:

LBC + Real-Time PCR

Sample for Testing:

Liquid cytology + urogenital swab, liquid cytology, oral swab.

Result Turnaround Time:

Up to 14 business days.

You can also personally deliver the material for testing during the laboratory's working hours (Mon - Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
