USG mięśni i ścięgien - Rehasport
Thanks to using ultrasound waves, the ultrasonography allows for imaging tissues and structures located below the skin surface. It is conducted in situations in which the muscle stops functioning properly, when its activity involves pain. The examination covers not only muscles, but also tendons and its surrounding structures. Ultrasonography is an imaging examination that is safe, non-invasive and painless. Indications for the examination include post-traumatic changes, muscle contusions and strains, tendon and ligament strains and tears, assessment of the extent of haematoma, presence of tumours and cysts. The muscle and tendon ultrasonography is also performed as part of preparation for surgery and later for inspection in rehabilitation. The examination, during which a gel-covered transducer is applied to the pain area and particular anatomical structures are scanned, is minimally invasive and painless. After the examination, the doctor develops an impression, attaches the image and gives it to the patient.
