Scope of the visit

  • He issues prescriptions, referrals for laboratory and imaging tests, as well as sick leave.

Tests that an ophthalmologist can perform during a consultation are:

  • visual acuity testing;
  • computerized eye examination;
  • measurement of intraocular pressure;
  • examination of the fundus of the eye;
  • checking ocular mobility;
  • Schirmer test (examination of tear secretion);
  • examination by means of graphic charts;
    • color vision,
    • spatial vision.

It is recommended to see an ophthalmologist every year or every two years for an eye check-up. With regular visits, we can quickly detect and treat any problems.
