Colotect
Colotect is a non-invasive epigenetic test that detects cancerous changes in the colon at an early stage. Colotect tests for up to three genes that are strongly associated with the development of colorectal cancer: SDC2, ADHFE1 and PPP2R5C. The high sensitivity and specificity of this test make it an excellent alternative to the traditional screening test: colonoscopy.
Why should you choose the Colotect test?
The test can detect colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions at an early stage, before they have a chance to develop into malignant cancer. The result of the Colotect test will be interpreted by a doctor.

Who is it for?
The Colotect test is particularly suitable for individuals:
- who are under 50 years of age and who are not yet eligible for colonoscopy and who have factors that increase the risk of bowel cancer (e.g. presence of polyps in the colon, inflammatory bowel disease, positive family history of bowel cancer, genetic conditions);
- with contraindications to colonoscopy;
- who report poor tolerance to previous colonoscopy;
- with fear of colonoscopy.

The Colotect test should be repeated every 3 years. |
Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide. The number of colo-rectal cancer cases has been increasing for years, even among young people. Every year in Poland there are about 20,000 new cases of this cancer and 12,000 people die from it.
Colorectal cancer is usually diagnosed at a late stage, when treatment options are limited. This is why regular screening is so important. Early diagnosis of colorectal cancer significantly increases the chances of effective treatment.
