During the visit, the dietician analyses the patient’s diet and gives diet guidelines taking into account the patient’s lifestyle, body needs, age and general state of health.
During a 60-minute consultation a body composition analysis is performed and measurement results are discussed.
In addition, the dietician gives advice to those who want to start a vegetarian or vegan diet, as well as to patients with medical issues, such as the following:
- gout,
- celiac disease,
- gastroesophageal reflux,
- high cholesterol level,
- allergy,
- gallstones,
- anaemia,
- obesity and many more.
Consultation with a dietician
A visit to a dietician includes the following:
- history taking,
- calculation of the Body Mass Index (BMI) and the Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR),
- body composition analysis,
- advice on a healthy diet,
The dietetics consultation is provided by specialists with a master’s degree in dietetics.
Body composition analysis
The measurements that will be taken as part of the analysis:
- body weight,
- body fat content,
- water content,
- muscle mass,
- bone mass,
- percentage of fat in organs
- metabolic age,
- Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR),
- Body Mass Index (BMI).
The body composition analysis is performed by a nurse.
