Facial Ultrasound in Aesthetic Medicine
Ultrasound of the face is a simple and replicable diagnostic method that allows us to assess the effect of aesthetic procedures as well as to detect post-operative complications.
Thanks to ultrasound imaging, the location of tissues, vessels, muscles and complications such as oedema, lumps, granulomas, abscesses or migration of preparations can be assessed.
The examination allows the doctor to precisely administer the filler or botulinum toxin and to dissolve abnormal areas of hyaluronic acid created after the procedure.
Indications for the examination
- Complications after aesthetic surgery: lumps, thickening, inflammation, hard-to-heal infections, tissue pain, swelling
- Assessment of vascular position before cosmetic surgery
- Assessment of tissues before aesthetic treatment
- Assessment of the position of fillers or sutures after the procedure
