What's worth knowing?

Services included in the package:

Ophthalmologist Consultation or Highly Specialized Ophthalmologist Consultation:

  • Patients can choose between a standard ophthalmologist consultation or a more advanced, highly specialized visit.

Pachymetry:

  • Pachymetry is a test used to measure the thickness of the cornea, the transparent part of the eye that covers the pupil and lens. This parameter is important in the diagnosis of eye diseases, such as glaucoma. Pachymetry is generally performed together with measurement of intraocular pressure.

Gonioscopy:

  • An examination of the anterior angle of the eye.
  • Allows assessment of intraocular fluid flow and exclusion of narrow angles that may predispose to glaucoma.

OCT RNFL (Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer):

  • OCT-RNFL is a safe, non-invasive test used in the diagnosis of glaucoma, among other things. It allows measurement of the thickness of the nerve fiber layer surrounding the optic nerve disc and evaluation of the disc itself. Both eyes are examined.

Optical Coherence Tomography OCT of the anterior segment of both eyes:

  • OCT (optical coherence tomography of the eye) is a state-of-the-art test used to diagnose retinal diseases and evaluate the optic nerve in cases of glaucoma.
  • During the examination, scans of a specific area of the eye are made using an optical beam. This allows an accurate assessment of specific parts of the retina and optic nerve for lesions, often impossible to detect during a standard ophthalmic examination.
  • The examination is painless and safe.

All of these tests can be performed in one visit. In addition, if necessary, laser antigluacoma treatment may be performed (service paid separately).
