Hematologist - Consultation

A hematologist is a specialist who deals with diseases of the blood and hematopoietic system. They can refer for any tests that are helpful in diagnosing these and many other diseases.

When should you see a hematologist?

In case of:

  • anemia,
  • polycythemia,
  • leukemia,
  • lymphomas,
  • thrombocytopenia,
  • thrombocytosis,
  • plasma cell dyscrasia.

The hematologist may order diagnostic tests, including:

  • full range of blood tests,
  • imaging tests (ultrasound, CT scan, MRI),
  • molecular tests (BCR/ABL, JAK2 V617F mutation),
  • karyotyping,
  • bone marrow biopsy,
  • trepanobiopsy,
  • lymph node biopsy.

Comprehensive diagnostics allow for the quick diagnosis and initiation of effective treatment for deficiency anemia, autoimmune syndromes, bone marrow diseases, and lymphatic system diseases, including: lymphomas, leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative disorders. All tests ordered by the hematologist are performed within a single day, without the need for additional referrals.

If you wish to find a specialist who speaks a foreign language, we recommend reviewing the doctor's profile. Simply click on the doctor's name from the schedule above to view their full profile, which will contain information about the foreign languages they speak. If no additional languages are visible, it means the doctor speaks only Polish.

The appointment lasts 15 minutes.

You must arrive no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

The service can only be provided at the medical facility selected during purchase.
