- Test description
The test can only be performed on Tuesdays and Thursdays due to the need for quick transportation to the laboratory performing the test.
Histamine is a compound that is involved in physiological processes and in pathological reactions that lead to inflammation.
Histamine is released from cells under the influence of various factors (i.e., physical stimuli, toxins, insect venom, drugs, alcohol and certain foods).
The release of histamine can also occur on the basis of an allergic reaction. This phenomenon is particularly important in the pathogenesis of the so-called IgE-mediated allergic diseases.
The following is an example of this phenomenon
Following the combination of the allergen with specific IgE antibodies, localized on the mast cell, mediators of the inflammatory reaction, including histamine, are released.
The test result will be available within 14 working days
