Consultation with a cardiothoracic surgeon is recommended especially in the case of patients who are eligible for surgery. For a visit to the Dom Lekarski, we ask patients to bring their medical documentation and the results of diagnostic tests. During the diagnosis, the cardiac surgeon may perform a specialized test (ECG).
Patients should see a cardiac surgeon in case of conditions and diseases such as:
- Ischemic heart disease (coronary artery disease)
- Complications after a heart attack (heart aneurysms)
- Acquired heart defects
- Congenital heart defects in adults
- Heart rhythm disorders associated with heart defects
- Aneurysms of the ascending aorta and aortic arch
- Pericardial diseases
- Heart tumors
- Pulmonary thromboembolic hypertension
- Follow-up examinations after heart surgeries
