Clinical Purpose

Silicon - an element included in connective tissue, tendons, bones and skóry. It strengthens hair and nails, improves the condition of the skinóry by participating in the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, elastin and collagen, supports the osteoarticular system and has an anti-atherosclerotic effect. Increased demand for this element occurs in pregnant women. In elderly people, the concentration of silicon decreases. Determination of this element in the blood is indicated in case of deficienciesów (insufficient supply in the diet) and in case of supplementation.
