Testing the level of IgG antibodies against Trichinella spiralis
(Trichinella spiralis) in the blood. The test is used in the diagnosis of
Trichinosis.
Trichinosis can be caused by the consumption of infected wild boar meat or
pork. Depending on the intensity, the infection is
asymptomatic or with diarrhea, high fever, muscle pain, among others,
malaise, symptoms of allergic vasculitis.
Specific IgG antibodies are detected after about 2 weeks of invasion,
which can persist for many years.
