Women's 40+ Testing Package

With the 40+ Health Package, you can get a comprehensive health check-up with just one blood draw. The tests included in the package will assess the functioning of your vital organs (thyroid, liver, kidneys), identify potential vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and evaluate the risk of developing lifestyle diseases. By opting for a home blood draw, you'll save time and avoid stress—there's no need to take time off work, travel to a clinic, or wait in line. A medical professional will come to your home at the agreed time, and the blood draw will take just a few minutes. Afterward, you can immediately return to your daily activities.

Why is it important to get preventive testing for women 40+?

After age 40, hormonal changes occur that affect metabolism, mood, appearance, energy levels, and the overall condition of the body. Hormonal fluctuations also lead to vitamin and mineral deficiencies, which in turn increase the risk of developing certain conditions such as hypothyroidism, osteoporosis, and atherosclerosis.

The 40+ tests evaluate the functioning of the thyroid, liver, kidneys, as well as the skeletal, circulatory, and hormonal systems. The package helps to identify key vitamin and mineral deficiencies and detect diseases at an early stage, which significantly improves treatment outcomes. Even if your results are normal, a doctor may provide recommendations to improve your quality of life and reduce the risk of serious conditions in the future. This way, you can enjoy a long life in good physical and mental health.

How often should women over 40 be tested?

The package can be performed annually as part of regular preventive care for women over 40.

How to prepare for the 40+ tests?

  • Get tested in the morning.
  • Fast for 12 hours before the test (no food, but water is allowed).
  • Avoid excessive physical exertion immediately before the test.
  • Refrain from alcohol 2-3 days before the test.
  • Don’t make drastic changes to your diet (don’t overeat or fast).
  • Try to be relaxed and well-rested before the blood draw.
  • Consult with your doctor about any medications or supplements you are taking.
  • Drink a glass of water 30 minutes before the blood draw.
  • It is recommended to get tested after your menstrual period. Hormonal tests like estradiol can be done at any time during the cycle, but the result should be correlated with the day of the cycle when the test was taken. Estradiol levels fluctuate during the cycle, so the reference ranges vary depending on the menstrual phase. If specific disorders are suspected, the test may be recommended during a certain phase, as determined by your doctor.

Full list of tests in the package:

  • Complete blood count (CBC) A basic test that evaluates general health and can detect blood disorders. The risk of anemia increases with age.
  • Lipid profile (CHOL, HDL, non-HDL, LDL, TG) Assesses the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis and hypertension.
  • Glucose This parameter helps diagnose carbohydrate metabolism disorders. The risk of developing diabetes increases with age.
  • Uric acid Evaluates protein metabolism. This parameter helps diagnose metabolic diseases such as gout.
  • Creatinine and eGFR Evaluates kidney filtration function.
  • Urea Assesses kidney function. A useful parameter in diagnosing liver diseases.
  • Liver function tests (ALT, AST, ALP, total bilirubin, GGTP) Screening parameters that evaluate liver and biliary function.
  • Iron Along with the CBC, this parameter is important in diagnosing anemia. A common cause of anemia is iron deficiency.
  • Ferritin A protein that stores iron in the body. Useful in diagnosing anemia.
  • Electrolytes (sodium and potassium) Electrolyte imbalances become more common with age, especially in people with kidney failure, heart failure, or diabetes.
  • CRP An inflammation marker.
  • Vitamin D Regulates calcium and phosphate metabolism. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to osteoporosis and reduced physical fitness.
  • Total calcium Involved in bone and tooth formation, as well as muscle contraction and relaxation. Reduced estrogen production increases calcium release from bones, raising the risk of osteoporosis and osteomalacia.
  • Inorganic phosphate Works with calcium to form bones and impacts muscle and nervous system function.
  • Magnesium Plays a role in nerve-muscle signal transmission.
  • TSH A hormone responsible for thyroid function.
  • D-dimers Assesses the risk of thromboembolic complications.
  • Fibrinogen Evaluates the clotting system and helps diagnose inflammation and liver diseases.
  • Estradiol One of the primary female sex hormones. A drop in estradiol levels is responsible for many menopause symptoms.
  • CA 125 Ovarian cancer marker.
  • CA 15-3 Breast cancer marker.

Interpretation of results

The 40+ tests monitor the functioning of organs such as the liver, kidneys, and thyroid. They also help assess the risk of developing diseases like atherosclerosis, hypertension, diabetes, thrombosis, and osteoporosis. The tests check for key vitamin and mineral levels and include cancer markers for types of cancer specific to women, such as breast and ovarian cancer.

With the package, you get a free consultation of your results

During the consultation, a Health Advisor at uPacjenta will:

  • Thoroughly analyze your test results and explain the cause of any abnormalities;
  • Recommend additional diagnostic tests if needed;
  • Provide advice on lifestyle changes to improve your health and well-being;
  • Answer any questions and clarify any doubts;
  • Suggest a visit to a specialist or dietitian if necessary.
