Pylori-Screen® is a specific, rapid immunodiagnostic test for detecting antibodies against Helicobacter pylori.
The Pylori-Screen® test should be performed when the patient experiences recurring stomach pains (pain in the stomach area, nausea, indigestion, reflux). Currently, 90% of patients with stomach ulcers are found to have an H. pylori infection. Proper diagnosis allows for the detection of the bacteria and subsequent initiation of effective antibiotic therapy to completely eliminate the pathogen.
