Laser vision correction is a procedure aimed at correcting vision impairments such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Thanks to this procedure, patients can achieve excellent vision without glasses or contact lenses.

Most adults are eligible for the procedure if their vision impairment is stabilized and their eyes are healthy.

During the Qualification Visit, the Doctor Will:

• Perform an ophthalmic examination to accurately assess the vision impairment and determine the appropriate surgical method.
• Conduct a thorough medical interview.
• Explain the laser vision correction procedure.
   

Qualification and specialist examinations for laser vision correction are conducted at Dom Lekarski Turzyn Medical Center and Dom Lekarski Struga Medical Center.

Important!

Patients scheduling a qualification visit are advised not to wear hard contact lenses for 3 weeks prior to the visit and not to wear soft contact lenses for 1 week before the visit.

To ensure patient safety, the final decision to proceed with the surgery is made by an ophthalmologist based on the results of specialist tests.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Not over 60 years old.*
• Stabilized vision impairment (no change in impairment over the past year).
• Not pregnant.
• Not taking steroids.

No existing conditions such as:

• Diabetes or other metabolic diseases.
• Rheumatic diseases.
• Atopy or severe allergies.
• Active infectious diseases or conditions that weaken the body.
• Eye inflammation.**
• Glaucoma or cataracts.**
• Retinal detachment.**
• Corneal changes.**

*There is no strict upper age limit; eligibility depends on the specific type of procedure.

**During the qualification examination at our center, a detailed eye diagnosis is conducted to rule out the above-mentioned conditions.

How to Schedule a Qualification Visit?

4. You have 3 months to complete the qualification process.

Important:
