- Test description
The test that evaluates the CD4/CD8 ratio is the first parameter of choice useful in the evaluation of many immune system disorders. Difference from the range of reference values is often the first sign that the immune system is not functioning as it should.
Disturbed values occur in diseases associated with immunodeficiency (inóral and primary immunodeficiencies, e.g. in children, in patientsóral with AIDS syndrome), autoimmune diseases, habitual miscarriages, infertility. The test is also applicable in the ródifferentiation of sarcoidosis from chronic lung diseases (e.g., tuberculosis, innate pneumonia).
