Abdominal cavity ultrasonography - Rehasport
Ultrasonography is a non-invasive imaging method using ultrasound waves. The abdominal cavity ultrasonography allows for early detection of irregularities in the abdominal cavity’s organs. Ultrasonography is performed in real time. The application of the ultrasound scanner’s transducer to the abdominal skin allows for displaying the internal organs located below the abdominal wall on the monitor display.
The examination is used to assess the structure of the liver, gall bladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, urinary bladder as well as large organs and the retroperitoneal space. The abdominal cavity ultrasonography allows for determining the cause of abdominal pains, flatulency, internal organ enlargement and for monitoring treatment in the course of various disorders. After the examination, the doctor develops an impression, attaches the image and gives it to the patient.
