What is the VERACITY test?

VERACITY is one of the most modern non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). It is a next-generation test that allows detection of fetal chromosomal abnormalities early in pregnancy.  

The material used for the test is a sample of the mother's blood. During pregnancy, free fetal DNA enters the woman's bloodstream through the placenta. The VERACITY test involves isolating free fetal DNA from a blood sample taken from the pregnant woman and then analyzing it in detail.

Microdeletions occur with the same frequency regardless of the mother's age.
